Monica Vaccari
Monica Vaccari earned an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design and Photography in Modena and her Masters degree in Architecture at the Politecnico of Milan.
During her career as an architect, she never abandoned her on-going search for personal expression in the language of photography and ceramics.
From 2005 to 2008, she worked at the Vrije Academie in The Hague (Netherlands) which was a very important period for her as it was where she developed her artistic voice and since then, she has exhibited her artwork widely with shows in Amsterdam and The Hague.
From 2009 to 2014 she lived in Brussels (Belgium) , where she had the opportunity to improve the ceramic technique and exhibit with the international group Project 13a.
Since 2014 she lives and works in Basel (CH).
From 2015 to 2023 she has been a member of the international art agency Frontofbicycle, with which she participated in numerous exhibitions in Basel.
In 2017 she has been selected for the exhibition Arte Binningen.
In 2018 and 2020 her work has been published on the international magazine Invict/us, project concluded with an exhibition in London in 2023.
She had her solo exhibitions at the Kunst.art gallery in Basel in 2018 and 2020.
In 2019 she has been invited to participate in the exhibition Art Connects 3.0 of the Novum Investments art agency in Basel.
From 2020 to 2022 she showcased her works with the international group Art Fusion, in Basel and Zurich.
From 2022 she takes part in the international art fair Volta with the Katapult gallery, for which her regularly exhibits.
Since 2023 her works are also exhibited in Austin (Texas) with the Unchained Art gallery.
